I'll admit, I'm not much of a Toyota fan.
None of their new cars really attract me to the brand, other than the Tacoma and the 4Runner. (Yes I like the front end, bite me) Everything else it pretty much a snooze fest.
I'd add the FJ Cruiser to the list, but it's pretty much dead as of now.
Are there any cars from a brand you don't particularly like that you'd buy?

I don't really dislike any brand, because that's silly. There are tuners I don't like at all though. Simply can't imagine giving money to anyone in exchange for anything from Mansory...

I'm a fan of the Integra, Nsx, Rsx. Even though I don't like Acura.
Anything current? No. Nothing.
I really don't like current Acura. No. Nope. Nopety Nope.

Mansory is Satan disguised as a company ruining good cars

How about the Auris Touring Sports? Or don't you get that in the US?
It's pretty much the only Toyota I'd ever buy (well, that and the Landcruiser)

The last Acura I was attracted to was the 2008 Acura TL

I'm not much of a VW fan but …

BatteryTenderUnnecessary will not like this at all...
![]() 04/11/2014 at 18:36 |

I can agree with that, except I'd have to add the Z4 along with it.

I forgot they were gonna start making a GTD. The only VWs I've ever liked were the GTI/GLI

No US version. But that'd be added to the list if it wasn't too boring to drive.

Shit. The Tl Type-S.
I surely lusted after those. Quite a bit.

Yeah, and the i8.

Make that a Type-S and I am very happy.

The SLS is my favorite Merc, I was screaming the first time I saw this.

Probably the prettiest Acura IMO

It's not a bad car at all, not as fun as an MR2.. but it's a pretty good car.

But, but Nsx. Or that could just be considered a Honda.
Otherwise, besides the Nsx I agree.

True. Modern day M1 kinda.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 18:42 |

The NSX will never be a real Acura in my eyes, just a Honda with a different badge on the front. I never got why it wasn't just brought over as a Honda...

It really doesn't look that bad either.

It looks quite good in fact, even better in person. But I know many Oppoes/Jalops will hate it.. because it is in fact a hybrid :P

Yes! That's the way I've always thought of it.

I still wouldn't mind one, TL SH-AWD V6 w/ 6 speed manual!

Dodge Challenger Shaker

Easy!
Audi: R8 - I would never buy one... but for an Audi it's interesting. Give me the money for one and there are dozens of cars that I like better.
Dodge - OK, they made a turn around and a few of their cars I really like. Viper/ Challenger, Charger.
Ford - Also made a turn around. I like the new ST's and I think I am going to like the new Mustang. I haven't liked a Mustang since the 60's Mustangs.
Hyundai - Genesis 3.8R. It isn't that I don't like Hyundai, they just aren't interesting. I love the Genesis Coupe though.
Lexus - LFA
Scion - FR-s

Unfortunately even Toyota doesn't make cars like they used to :(
If I had to buy a VW, it'd be a TDI wagon with the huge sunroof with extended warranty from Carmax.

Not a Doge fan?
![]() 04/11/2014 at 19:24 |

I'd answer all that completely the same!

Doge, certainly, I even have coins. But modern Dodge? Almost entirely unlike any of the old ones I think are cool.

My dad said Toyota used to make really enjoyable cars. Oh how times have changed.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 19:27 |

I have been thinking the same. All of a sudden I find myself wanting a Tacoma (manual) as a Daily/parts hauler for a project car. And when the new 4Runner came out, I found myself admiring them. Toyota does have a decent history of small trucks and SUV's.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 19:29 |

Pretty tough to boot.

I don't know if I like Dodge, or are just really proud of them for going from building absolute shit to pretty good cars.

I think liking the Challenger with a Shaker has something to do with that. During the Malaise and for a long time after they were really awful. Even if they're almost all not to my taste now (and moreso than GM/Ford) I think it needs to be acknowledged.

I like the 4Runner's front end, and if I had the money I would retire my current 4Runner to weekend toy and make one my daily driver.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 22:00 |

I love how high the bumper is from the ground. Much better than some SUVs out there. Looking at you, GM triplets.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 22:38 |
|
Dig both of those Toyotas the Taco is...well a Taco, you just can't go wrong and the new 4runner is pretty great. as in if i could afford one I would be driving around in it instead of my 80 series since they are now about the same size....seriously, these new 4runners are HUGE.
![]() 04/11/2014 at 22:39 |
|
Still smaller than the GM triplets
![]() 04/11/2014 at 23:25 |
|
Well, to be fair to the GM's, they were never intended to be the offroader the 4Runner is supposed to be. Even the new 4Runner's bumper is a significant amount lower than mine. Granted mine is lifted, but only like 3 to 3.5".
![]() 04/11/2014 at 23:41 |

different categories of cars all together. the triplets are about as big as yukons length and height wise

All very valid points.
